A balcony with unforgettable views of Lake Garda, accessible on foot or by bike, just a few minutes from Lake Tenno. Sport and relaxation for everyone in a family atmosphere with typical Trentino cuisine.
In short, this is San Pietro mountain hut, opened in the 1930s by the Riva del Garda section of the SAT - Association of Trentino Mountaineers, at the point where an old hermitage was located. Next to the mountain hut is the small, still consecrated church of St. Peter, after which the hut is named.
Since its opening, the hut has been one of the most popular hiking destinations in Garda Trentino, also thanks to its accessibility. It is indeed possible to arrive by car about 15 minutes on foot from the hut, which is even accessible with a hiking stroller.
The hut is open all year round. However, it is advisable to contact the manager to inquire about the actual opening, especially out of season.

From Riva del Garda follow the signs for Tenno / Lago di Tenno. At Ville del Monte turn right at the junction after the church and follow the road that climbs the slopes of Monte Calino, up to the car park (signs for Rifugio San Pietro). From the parking lot to the hut you have to walk for about 15 minutes on an easy dirt road.
