The itinerary connects the villages of Seravalle and Ala passing under the magnificent S. Valentino shrine.

Also known as round-leaf Lambrusco, Casetta has been always present in Vallagarina . The grapes of this red grape variety are so rich in anthocyanins that they were once used to bring color to other rather drained red wines. Of an intense ruby red, it has a moderate structure that appreciates aging in cask. Violet and red fruits such as blackberries and currants are the prevailing notes on the nose and on the palate.

Turn-by-turn directions

Coming from the north along the Adige cycle path, cross the river in front of the town of Chizzola, heading towards Serravalle. Once you reach the village on the opposite side of the SS12, a short climb leads you to the upper part of the town near the Church of Saints Fabiano and Sebastiano. From here along via Bronzetti, the road leads again southwards towards the countryside, up to the town of S. Margherita where it descends slightly and then rises again crossing the Rio S. Valentino. Still a little less than half a kilometer and you reach the wonderful baroque village of Ala, "the city of velvet". The itinerary crosses the historical center and then goes towards the Pilcante bridge along safe roads that connect the Adige cycle path.
