The path starts in Borgo Sacco and winds from Isera through the countryside to reach the Sanctuary of Montalbano, a splendid panoramic terrace over the town of Mori.

Thanks to the presence of a basalt matrix soilt, Marzemino is the indigenous grape par excellence in Vallagarina. The areas where it can be found are in the Ziresi in Volano and in the municipality of Isera. The resulting wine is not particularly structured, but still retains a certain finesse and elegance, such as to make it known under the name of "Gentle Marzemino". Obtained from medium-large berry grapes rich in anthocyanins, it has an intense color tending to purple and gives, both to the nose and to the palate, an intense aroma of violet.

Destination

Adige cycle path near the former Montecatini - Alumetal factory

Turn-by-turn directions

Near the Info and bike point of Borgo Sacco, cross the bridge over the Adige and then turn right going north for about 400m until reaching the intersection with the signs for the town of Isera. In the church square, take "vicolo Galvagni" and then "via C. Cavalieri", up to the traffic lights on the SP45. From here continue along "via S. Zeno" which briefly enters the countryside. The itinerary, partly unpaved, crosses the "Fojaneghe estate" as far as Asmara and then passes through the center of the hamlet of Ravazzone until it reaches the stretch of the SS240 that leads to the town of Mori. Here, turn right into "via Roma", and near "Largo Villanuova", then go up to "via Montalbano". The first rather steep stretch, after about 250 meters becomes less steep and soon leads to the characteristic Sanctuary of Montalbano. From here you go back down to Mori along via Teatro, via Viesi and via Garibaldi, cross the SS240 near the traffic lights to via Terranera, then take the SP90 until you see the signs on the left for Chizzola - Cycle Path.

All the villages of the Destra Adige can be reached by public transport by tram and bus (www.trentinotrasporti.it)
